The Asus ROG G1000 Gaming desktop is now officially available for purchase in Malaysia. This desktop is quite possibly the dictionary definition of overkill, as well as a status symbol among gamers with too much disposable income.
The aesthetics of the ROG G1000 is, of course, littered with the brandβs ROG branding, as are the internals. What really sets it apart from other desktop gaming rigs, though is the AniMe Holo holographic projector that projects anything that you want, customisable through the Armoury Crate app.

That segues us nicely into the chassis of the ROG G1000: a 104-litre Ultra custom ROG casing. Weβre talking about a side panel that showcases a massive 380mm holographic fan, comprising 720 LEDs and dual 215mm fans with 404 LEDs in each front panel.
Aesthetics aside, hereβs the breakdown of its specifications. Inside the chassis, youβve got an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, paired with what weβre assuming is the ROG Crosshair X870E motherboard, although ASUS didnβt specify whether it is the Hero, Apex, or Extreme. But the good news is that the motherboard supports both Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity.

Moving on, the system comes with 64GB DDR5 (2x 32GB) UDIMM RAM, but you could effectively bump up that number to 128GB, assuming you have the extra Ringgit to splash for it. Then thereβs a single 1TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, but again, there is plenty of other M.2 slots and SATA ports for you to populate by yourself.
Of course, the ROG G1000 wouldnβt be a gaming rig without a dedicated GPU, and in this case (no pun intended), ASUS is providing an ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 OC Edition. If youβre wondering why itβs not an RTX 5090, itβs likely because of the current pricing for said card now; despite its official SRP of US$1,999 (~RM8,128), an RTX 5090 currently retails for RM25,000 on average.
Keeping the CPU cool and running at the optimum temperature is the ROG Thermal Atrium, a 420mm radiator kept cool by three 140mm intake fans. Asus claims that its AIO, coupled with the casing, keeps the 9950X3D about 16Β°C cooler than other AIOs on the market.
As to how much the rig costs, the ROG G1000 retails at RM29,999 alone and is available for purchase, both via the brandβs e-Store and through authorised resellers. In addition, Asus is also offering a limited bundle offer of the desktop and the ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS monitor, exclusively through its e-Store, at a price of RM32,999.
