The Sony WH-1000XM6 comes in a lot of colour options, which is usually not the highlight of the product line. But the company has added one more to the list, complete with pre-order bonuses for this new colour variant. This new colourway is, oddly enough, called Olive Grey, and looks to be a mix of the usual green associated with the plant with the grey in question. Thereโs also a bit of exclusivity going on with this colour variant, as the company says it wonโt be as easily available as the rest.
More specifically, Sony Malaysia says that the Olive Grey WH-1000XM6 is only available in the Sony Store of BBCC, IOI City Mall and The Curve, as well as its own online store. Itโs priced the same as the other colour variants at RM2,099, but itโs not immediately available. Instead, you can pre-order it between now and 19 August. Do so within this time period, and youโll get a free WF-C510 TWS buds worth RM299 thrown in.
All that being said, the best deal to be had is actually via the Sony Store Online, as the company dubs it. Not only do you get the complimentary TWS buds mentioned above, but thereโs also a RM100 discount thatโs ongoing, at least at the time of writing. On top of that, thereโs also another RM300 discount if you apply the MDR300 promo code. And finally, you get a zippered tote bag. Stacking both discounts will bring the price of the WH-1000XM6 down to where its predecessors were priced traditionally, which is always nice, to say nothing of the free gifts.
The Sony WH-1000XM6 continues what the series does best, even if the design philosophy can shift a little between generations. While it does carry the brandโs signature bass emphasis, it provides balanced mids and highs. The series as a whole has also celebrated its 10th anniversary with The Collexion, a higher end special – but not limited – edition entry, though that is not currently on discount.
