The HONOR Watch 6 first appeared on the SIRIM database back in May. Now, a few months later, the device has arrived on our shores as the latest addition to the brandโs smartwatch lineup.
In terms of design, the wearable more closely resembles the Watch 5 Ultra than the vanilla Watch 5. It features a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with a 464 x 464 pixel resolution and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Aside from that, it gets stainless steel bezels and a polymer rear case.
The front case material depends on the specific model, with the Shadow Black variant incorporating aluminium alloy. Meanwhile, the Twilight Brown version features a stainless steel front case. Regardless of colour, the watch comes with IP69 and 5 ATM ratings.
As with any other modern fitness tracker, the Watch 6 is equipped with an array of sensors for tracking metrics like heart rate, HRV, sleep, as well as stress. Wearers can also get quick health reports with a single tap.
For workouts, the device supports over 120 sports modes, with dedicated tracking features for badminton, offering stroke analysis and other advanced evaluations. The watch also comes with a football mode with heat maps, plus a running mode with an AI running coach.
Meanwhile, a 980mAh battery can keep the wearable powered for up to 35 days in โlong-enduranceโ usage scenarios. With typical use, the brand claims that the smartwatch can last up to 17 days, marking a two-day improvement from the last generation. In independent GPS mode, the device has a reported battery life of 42 hours.
A few more features of the wearable include voice notes, smart NFC access, as well as the ability to receive notifications from two compatible smartphones simultaneously. Other than that, the device supports gesture controls, allowing wearers to dismiss alarms, answer calls, or switch songs with simple wrist turns.
