After spotting the Pro variant in SIRIM’s database, HONOR has officially confirmed that it will be launching the Pad 20 series in Malaysia soon. Unfortunately, much like its upcoming Robot Phone, the company has yet to announce a specific launch date at the time of writing.
While it may not seem like it based on the naming convention, the Pad 20 is actually the successor to the HONOR Pad 10. According to the company’s press release, the Pad 20 will feature a “cutting-edge display, flagship AI productivity features, enhanced performance, massive battery capacity and an upgraded speaker system” compared to its predecessor. HONOR also claims that it strikes a balance between productivity, entertainment, and versatility.
Based on the press release, HONOR is marketing the device towards students and young professionals. The company is largely pitching the upcoming tablet as an alternative to conventional work computers.
The HONOR Pad 20 Family
Shortly after the announcement, we revisited SIRIM’s database to see if there were any new updates, and sure enough, there were. Aside from the previously reported HONOR Pad 20 Pro and Bluetooth keyboard, the database lists not one, but two base HONOR Pad 20 variants.
According to the listings, one variant carries the HEY4-W09 model number, while the other is identified as HEY4-N09. The two devices received their respective approvals on 11 June 2026 and 26 July 2026.
Based on how the HONOR Pad 10 was offered, we could be looking at 5G and Wi-Fi variants of the HONOR Pad 20. However, this is purely speculation on our part, so don’t treat it as fact.
HONOR Pad 20 Specs
Unfortunately, the company did not reveal any details about the device’s specifications or pricing at the time of writing. However, its Chinese branch has already launched the base variant of the tablet in its home market. Using that as a point of reference, we know that the HONOR Pad 20 comes with a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display with a 3,000 x 1,872-pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 700 nits.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Powering it all is a 10,100mAh battery with support for 66W wired charging. On the software side, it runs on Android 16 via MagicOS 10.
For imaging, the tablet features two 8MP cameras, with one on the front and another on the rear. Other specifications include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, a six-speaker setup, and a dual-microphone array.
With all that said, note that these specifications are based on the tablet’s launch in China. While unlikely, there is still a possibility that some details may differ when the tablet officially launches in the local market.
