The vivo X Fold6 made its debut in China at the end of June. For now, the phone maker has yet to make any mention of a global launch, but it looks like the book style-foldable is making its way to international markets. The device has cropped up in a few places, including the SIRIM database, and more recently, a Geekbench 7 listing.
Starting with the SIRIM entry, it reveals that the phone has received approval quite some time ago, on 21 July 2026. Other than that, it confirms the deviceβs model number, which is V2559. As always though, this entry doesnβt say much about the foldableβs specifications.
For that, we can turn our attention to the Geekbench listing. Initially spotted by leakster @ZionsAnvin on X, the entry shows that the X Fold6 will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. This shouldnβt be all too surprising, since the model launched in China comes with the same processor. Notably, vivo previously declared that this is a custom version of the chip designed specifically for foldables.
Beyond that, the entry reveals that the device will feature 12GB of RAM and run on Android 17. The latter is a noteworthy detail, as the Chinese version debuted with OriginOS 6 Fold, which is based on Android 16. So, this may be one of the distinctions between the two models.

With this in mind, though, the global and China variants may not differ from each other that much. So, the Chinese model could serve as a guide for what to expect. For reference, it debuted with a 6.51-inch LTPO AMOLED cover screen with a 2,528 x 1,120 pixel resolution. Meanwhile, its AMOLED inner display measures 8.02 inches and offers a 2,504 x 2,312 pixel resolution. Both panels feature a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits.
Internally, the foldable packs a 7,000mAh battery with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. In China, the device gets up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, but itβs unlikely that the same options will be available on our shores as the X Fold5 debuted with a single 12GB + 512GB configuration here. On the imaging end, the X Fold6 sports a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. Additionally, both selfie cameras use 20MP sensors.

At the moment, vivo is focusing on unveiling the X500 series in China, so itβs unlikely to launch the global X Fold6 this month. As such, October may be the earliest possible release window. Either way, the device should be heading our way quite soon.
