Xiaomi’s Next Large-Screen Tablet May Be Named “Pad 7 Ultra,” According to Bluetooth Certification
Xiaomi appears to be preparing a new addition to its tablet lineup, and recent certification activity suggests the company may opt for a name change for its next large-screen model. A new Bluetooth SIG listing has surfaced showing a product named “Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra,” rather than the previously rumored “Pad 7 Max.” This new development hints at a possible branding shift for Xiaomi’s flagship tablet line.
The listing, published on the official Bluetooth SIG database, confirms the product name “Pad 7 Ultra” and associates it with the model number 25032RP42C. This same model number had previously appeared in China’s 3C certification database, where it was shown to support 120W wired fast charging. This level of charging support would make the Pad 7 Ultra one of the fastest-charging tablets on the market, continuing the trend Xiaomi started with the Pad 6 Max in 2023.
Xiaomi’s previous large-screen model, the Pad 6 Max, featured a 14-inch display and launched in 2023 as the company’s first “giant-screen” tablet. With the Pad 7 series, Xiaomi seems to be continuing that format, potentially refining it with upgraded internals and faster charging capabilities. Notably, the device seen in the certifications aligns with earlier information shared by tech blogger @DigitalChatStation, who claimed back in March that Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship tablet would have a 14-inch screen and 120W fast charging.
The Bluetooth SIG certification does not disclose additional hardware specifications such as chipset, display resolution, or battery capacity, but it does confirm Bluetooth 5.3 support. This is consistent with recent Xiaomi tablets and is expected to provide better power efficiency and improved connectivity.
If the Pad 7 Ultra is indeed the successor to the Pad 6 Max, it is likely to be positioned at the high end of Xiaomi’s tablet offerings. The change in naming from “Max” to “Ultra” could suggest a shift in marketing strategy, aligning the product more closely with Xiaomi’s smartphone naming conventions. Xiaomi already uses the “Ultra” tag for its top-tier smartphones, such as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which indicates that the tablet may offer flagship-level features and build quality.
So far, Xiaomi has not made any official announcements about the Pad 7 Ultra, and there is no confirmed launch date. However, the appearance in certification databases typically signals that a release could be approaching in the coming weeks or months.
With more details likely to emerge soon, all signs point to Xiaomi preparing another high-end entry in its tablet portfolio, this time with a focus on performance, charging speed, and possibly a rebranding effort to reflect its premium positioning.
