The TQ Wuling Bingo EV Makes Its First Appearance At MAS 2025

Joining the list of brands that is showcasing their models in the ongoing Malaysia Auto Show (MAS 2025) is TQ Wuling. The models that are showcased in the event are the Wuling Bingo EV, which marks the first public showcasing.
The brand is a collaboration between Tan Chong Motor Group and SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co. Ltd., which debuted in Malaysia recently. The Wuling Bingo will be a locally assembled (CKD) model at Tan Chong Motor’s Segambut facility, hence the pricing is expected to be below RM100,000. The EV is expected to launch in Q4 of this year.
However, the Bingo EV that is showcased at MAS 2025 is only for display purposes and the specifications do not reflect the ones that will be available for the Malaysian market. However, as we reported before, the hatchback is not a new model as it is available in other markets.
In other markets, the car is offered in two variants: Long Range and Premium Range. In terms of design, it features X-shaped headlamps and a two-tone finish. The EV’s interior features ceramic glaze texture and plush synthetic leather trimmings. Additionally, it comes with a 10.25-inch dual-screen floating island central entertainment system.
With its 31.9-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, the Long Range variant has a 333-kilometer CLTC range. Meanwhile, with a 37.9-kWh battery, the Premium Range extends the CLTC range by 77 km, for a total of 410 km. The Wuling Bingo requires 9.5 hours to fully charge and can be charged at 3.3 kW using AC power and with DC rapid charging can achieve 80% of charge in approximately 35 minutes.
Alongside the Bingo, the company also showcases the Wuling Light of ASEAN, an EV concept car. It features a ‘cross-star cone’ front fascia with gullwing doors. Inside, it features a ‘Zero-Gravity Dual-Mode Cabin’ separating the driver and passenger zones.
Moreover, it also comes with an ultra-high-definition borderless screen with eye-tracking technology and jet-like controls. Summing up the interior is the immersive dependent sound system.
