sooka is celebrating its fourth anniversary with a string of birthday promos and new plans aimed at broadening access to its platform. As revealed during its event that was held earlier today, the streaming service is offering limited-time rewards and discounts, with further collaborations on the horizon.

Until 31 July 2025, new users can redeem a 10-day free trial of the Sports & Entertainment plan using the promo code HBDSOOKA. Existing users, on the other hand, are able to stand a chance to win an LG 86” 4K UHD Smart TV or a sooka TV Stick every day for 30 days. 

The sooka TV Stick, which retails at RM349, is now bundled for free with a six-month Premium plan priced at RM249. Lastly, a Buy 1 Free 1 annual pass promo, which starts from 25 June 2025, gives subscribers two years of access for just RM149.

Looking ahead, sooka says it will introduce new partnerships with major telcos and financial institutions in the coming months. These tie-ins are aimed at offering bundled plans and added value for customers, as the platform continues its efforts to increase accessibility and expand its presence across Malaysia’s digital entertainment ecosystem.

Now in its fifth year, sooka is also working to enhance its content lineup and user experience further, building on recent upgrades such as a redesigned app and 4K UHD support on its TV Stick.

A preview of the app’s updated interface shown during the event reveals a cleaner interface, dynamic tabs, and an integrated Electronic Programme Guide. Sooka adds that the home page will also recommend content to the user based on their viewing habits and preferences. The update is expected to roll out gradually to customers sometime this week.
