Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Now Official From RM4,999 In Malaysia

As part of the Galaxy Unpacked event of the month, Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip7. While we’ve seen these already thanks to the massive last minute leaks, it’s still nice to have confirmation for them. The good news is that a lot of the upgrades are real, but on the flip side, so is the opposite, depending on your perspective.
Either way, at the start of the official Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 spec sheet is a 6.9-inch (6.8-inch after accounting for rounded corners) Full HD+ 21:9 AMOLED screen with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. Then there’s the AMOLED cover screen which takes over the entirely of the top shell minus bezels and the two cameras, measuring 4.1 inches with a 1,048 x 948 resolution.
Worth mentioning also is that both shells get a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 over them, the same as its predecessor. Connecting the two halves of the clamshell is a “restructured” Armor FlexHinge, which allows for a thinner and flatter profile when folded.
Inside, we get to the controversial part of the spec sheet – the Exynos 2500 chipset, which isn’t necessarily bad, but it still carries the stigma of its predecessors. Memory is locked to the one option of 12GB. The battery is a slightly improved 4,300 mAh split into two packs, but charging is still locked at 25W. For what it’s worth, it does have reverse wireless charging.
For its cameras, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 has a 50MP main + 12MP wide angle combo on the shell, with a 10MP shooter in a punch-hole cutout in primary screen. On software, it will be among the first to run Android 16 alongside its fellow foldables, with One UI 8 on top. Other bits and bobs include WiFi 7 support, Bluetooth 5.4, space for one Nano SIM but multiple eSIMs, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Wrapping up the whole package is an IP48 rating.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 comes in two storage options, which are 256GB and 512GB, priced at RM4,999 and RM5,599 respectively. Colour options include Blue Shadow, Coral Red, Jet Black and an online exclusive Mint. Pre-orders are ongoing from now until 31 July, with general availability starting 1 August.
