Redmi K80 Ultra Gets CMIIT Certification; Official Release Soon

Redmi K80 Pro

Xiaomi released its Redmi K80 smartphone series last year, which currently consists of a base and Pro model. Now, Xpertpick reports that an Ultra model is on its way, having been MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology)-certified in China.

The Redmi K80 Ultra is listed under model number 25060RK16C in the MIIT database. As per this listing, the phone may come with a 7,270mAh rated value battery, with a typical value of around 7,500mAh.

Xpertpick alleges that the Redmi K80 Ultra variant will come with a 6.83-inch LTPS OLED screen, with 1.5K resolution. It may also be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chip, an upgrade from its predecessor, and support for 100W charging. It could feature a 50MP triple camera setup, as well as a metal middle frame.

Xiaomi may release this phone in China in the following month, at the earliest. Considering the existing phones within the Redmi K80 lineup have yet to see a global release, it is unclear if the Ultra will debut in other markets. Prior entries in the series have been rebranded to POCO devices before getting their global debut, but it’s unclear if the same will apply this time.
