Photo Essay: AGi At Computex 2025

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: AGi isn’t a brand many would be familiar with but the company has been very slowly making a name for itself in the PC memory and storage market. This year, we visited the brand’s booth at Computex 2025 to find out what it’s been doing since we last met and reviewed its SSD.
One particular stride AGi was happy to talk to us about was the strides it was making in the development of its own PCIe Gen5 storage components. Like of PCIe 5.0 SSDs, its own offering – at least, what we saw on the floor- was able to sustain average sequential read and write speeds of 14,000MB/s, which is more than plenty.
Interestingly, these PCIe 5.0 SSDs were also being offered with two controllers: one running Silicon Motion (SM) chips, and the other on Phison.
AGi also showed off its microSD Express card, which, as you know, is designed to be compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2, once the console becomes available to the general masses.
It’s a pre-emptive move by the brand but honestly speaking, it’s hard to say if or when the company plans to make these particular storage medium available in the Malaysian market.
