OPPO A5i Lineup Goes Official With Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1, 6,000mAh Battery For Pro

OPPO has officially two new smartphones under the A series, namely the A5i and A5i Pro. Both phones are powered by the same chipset as the A5 Pro 4G, but the Pro gets a bigger batter, a better imaging setup, and higher durability.
The models sport a 6.67-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chipset that supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, and NFC — only the vanilla version gets a 3.5mm headphone jack. For protection, the two entry-level devices are equipped with a MIL-STD-810H rating for drop resistance, while their dust and water resistance stands at IP54 and IP65 for the A5i and the Pro respectively.

On the optics side, the Pro features a 50MP main camera while the vanilla A5i gets a 5MP lens, but both phones only get a depth sensor as a secondary shooter as well as a 5MP selfie snapper. Powering the Pro is a massive 6,000mAh battery while the standard version gets a 5,100mAh capacity, but both are limited to a charging speed of 45W.
OPPO has yet to announce the local arrival of the new lineup but on the SIRIM database, the vanilla A5i has already made an appearance. Moreover, a local retailer has revealed that the A5i will retail from RM399 for a 4GB+128GB variant and RM499 for a 6GB+128GB configuration. It is unknown if the Pro model will also make its way to our shores.
