Ever want to relive what is (subjectively) the best version of the Windows operating system? Well, Microsoft has just debuted its Windows XP-themed Crocs as a way of celebrating the company’s 50th anniversary.

The design for this limited-edition footwear is heavily influenced by “Bliss” wallpaper. The collaborative slip-ons feature a solid green sole, a sky blue upper, and white cloud printing reminiscent of the popular photograph.

Microsoft’s chief communications officer, Frank Shaw, confirmed that the footwear will be launching with a Bliss-themed drawstring backpack. Furthermore, the collaboration will also usher in some custom shoe charms, such as the MSN butterfly logo, Windows XP pointer, and Clippy, to name a few.

The company explained that Crocs’ launch is “part of a broader set of moments marking Microsoft’s 50th anniversary”. The tech giant also added that it is a way for the company to honour the past while also looking to the future.

As for availability, it seems that Microsoft doesn’t plan on selling the collaborative Crocs online. The Verge reached out to see if the item will go on sale, but the respective spokesperson “didn’t immediately respond”.

If you are interested in getting one yourself, however, the company is hosting a giveaway at its official Instagram page. All the company is asking you to do is comment the word “#MicrosoftCrocSweepstakes” before 7 October on the post to get a pair of your own.
