Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Now Official; Starts From RM7,999
The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold has officially been unveiled, along with the other Pixel 10 Series devices during today’s Made by Google event. The device is the search engine’s second foldable to-date, serving as the successor to last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Specs-wise, and like the other Pixel 10 Series devices, Google’s own Tensor G5 SoC powers the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, has 16GB LPDDR5x RAM, and can accommodate a UFS 4.0 internal storage capacity from 256GB to 1TB, the latter being a first for a foldable Pixel.
As previously reported, the cover display of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is a 6.4-inch OLED with an adaptive refresh rate between 60Hz and 120Hz. Meanwhile, the internal foldable display is an 8-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and both displays have a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
Powering the foldable is a 5,015mAh battery that also supports 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging via Qi2. The phone also comes with an IP68 rating, along with a guarantee of more than 10 years of folding durability.
For it main camera, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold sports a triple-camera module, comprising a 48MP wide sensor, a 10.5MP ultrawide, and a 10.8MP telephoto. The latter capable of 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid, and 20x digital. In addition, the camera will have access to Google’s Pro Res Zoom imaging technology that uses Generative AI to refine and recover details in a picture at a zoom distance of up to 100x.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also the first Google foldable that is officially coming to Malaysia, as the Alphabet-owned company skipped our country with the original Fold. Pricing starts from RM7,999, and the phone will be available in two colourways: Moonstone and Jade.
Preorders for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold starts today, with availability for the foldable set for 9 October . Participating retailers and telcos include Shopee, CelcomDigi, Maxis, U-Mobile, Urban Republic, Sen Heng and Thunder Match Technology.
