Chery Malaysia has announced that the Tiggo 7 CSH and Tiggo 8 CSH are now open for booking through its social media platforms. Both SUVs were first shown at the Malaysia Auto Show (MAS2025) and were later previewed again during the launch of the automaker’s Super Hybrid Platform (CSH).
As previously reported, the Chery Tiggo 7 stands out with its trapezoidal LED headlamps, featuring double L-shaped daytime running lights, paired with a closed-off octagonal grille. At the rear, it showcases a full-width taillight bar with distinctive S-shaped elements and vertical reflectors that enhance its visual presence.
Meanwhile, the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH adopts updated styling cues from the latest petrol-powered Tiggo 8. These include redesigned headlamps, a slimmer grille surround, a refreshed front bumper with functional air curtains, and flush-fitting door handles. At the back, it maintains a familiar design while adding a new diffuser-inspired element for a sportier touch.
The interior of the Tiggo 7 comes with a dual screen combining the instrument cluster and infotainment system. As for the Tiggo 8, it comes with a redesigned centre console, a rotary gear selector and updated climate controls.
Both SUVs are plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models that feature the CSH platform, which combines a 1.5L turbocharged dedicated hybrid engine with an electric motor. It produces 255 kW of power and 525 Nm of torque. Additionally, power for both models will be managed by a DHT transmission.
The Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 are each equipped with a 37 kWh LFP battery. Paired with the engine, the system is claimed to deliver a WLTP range of up to 1,200 km. Charging options are versatile; with 40 kW fast charging, the battery can be replenished from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes. Using a 6.6 kW AC charger, a full charge takes around three hours, while a standard 3-pin charger requires approximately 8.5 hours to reach 100%.
As of now, these are the information revealed by the automaker. The only crucial detail missing is the price of the cars, which will be announced soon during the launch of both models.
