Rapid KL, will consolidate existing on-demand van service booking platforms, namely Mobi, Trek Rides and Kummute, into its Rapid On-Demand app next month. The move aims to simplify the booking process and improve user experience across all service zones.
According to Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd acting CEO Ku Jamil Zakaria, the integration will take place in two phases; starting 1 November 2025 for zones currently using the Mobi and Trek Rides apps, followed by mid-November for zones using Kummute. Once completed, all bookings for Rapid KLโs On-Demand van services will be handled exclusively through the Rapid On-Demand app.
โWith this streamlining, users now only need to use one app to make bookings in all zones operated by Rapid KL, making the travel experience easier, faster, and more user-friendly,โ Ku Jamil said. He noted that users previously had to download different apps depending on their service zone, which often caused confusion.
Alongside the app consolidation, Rapid Bus will also expand and reorganise several service zones to improve connectivity and accessibility. The changes will introduce routes served by 50 vans, linking areas such as Metro PrimaโTaman Botani Kepong (FRIM), Serdang Raya SelatanโTaman Bukit Serdang, and SemantanโMenara DBKL as well as SemantanโKTM Segambut.
The Rapid On-Demand app is already available via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Rapid Bus encourages existing users of Mobi, Trek Rides, and Kummute to switch to the Rapid’s own app before 1 November to ensure uninterrupted access once the transition begins.
