ZTE has launched a wide range of products in the past, ranging from smartphones to tablets and other peripherals and accessories. While the company has launched a few odd items before, this would be the first time it ever launched a 3-in-1 device that features a 10,000mAh power bank that has global roaming and a Wi-Fi 6 hotspot.
The item in question is none other than the ZTE U15S. This unusual item is marketed for people who move between countries, cities, and workspaces.ย
At the heart of this device are its global roaming capabilities. ZTE says that the U15S comes with flexible eSIM data packages for global roaming that cover over 150 countries and regions. According to the official press release, users can “scan to purchase a data package and connect instantly upon arrival, with no SIM-swapping and no roaming bill surprises.โ

Itโs important to note that the roaming feature is obviously intended for foreign travel; if the owner wants to operate the device locally (see: Malaysia), they need to insert their own into an external slot.
Helping users stay connected is the built-in Wi-Fi 6 hotspot, which is supposedly powered by ZTEโs own V3E-A53 dual-core chip with OFDMA intelligent bandwidth allocation. This allows the U15S to support up to 32 connected devices simultaneously without compromising on speed and reliability regardless of where the user is located, or so the company claims. Users can bypass manually typing in the password with a QR code scan.
When its roaming or its hotspot capabilities are turned off, the device can act as your standard 10,000mAh power bank. It can charge devices at a reasonable pace thanks to its 18W bi-directional USB-C cable, which is compatible with phones, tablets, and various other devices. ZTE says that the cell can provide 26 hours of continuous hotspot operation or 48 days of standby.
The ZTE U15S comes with three dedicated modes. These are Pocket Wi-Fi mode, the Power Bank Mode, and your Airplane Mode that shuts down all wireless transmissions. The operator can cycle between these modes by pressing and holding onto a single button.
Beyond that, the device comes with a 1.44-inch HD touchscreen, which helps display the QR for easy scanning and connection. ZTE says that, without downloading the app, users โcan instantly view QR codes, remaining data, battery level, and connection status at a glance.โ Folks can further customise the deviceโs name and password, firewall settings, and SMS management via the WebUI management portal, while also accessing terminal device management and over-the-air firmware updates.
The ZTE U15S is available in Malaysia starting today, 18 September 2026, for RM299. This purchase will also entitle the buyer to a standard warranty that will last for 12 months. Those interested can purchase the device via ZTEโs official Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok pages.
Itโs also worth mentioning that the company is hosting a lucky draw where 10 random winners will win one year of global roaming data worth RM19,999. Unfortunately, the press release did not give a detailed answer on how to become an eligible participant in this lucky draw. If we were to assume, the company will select the lucky 10 from those who purchase a device via the aforementioned shopfronts.
