HONOR may have released the 600 series earlier this year, but it seems that the company isn’t done with the smartphone family just yet. We say this because the brand quietly launched a new variant called the HONOR 600S 5G in Hong Kong, with plans to expand to other countries like Taiwan soon after. And yes, Malaysia is part of the plan too, as we’ve spotted the device listed in the SIRIM database.
According to the organisation’s listing, the HONOR 600S carries the model number MRK-NX1. Interestingly enough, it received regulatory approval on 22 June 2026. Furthermore, the listing does not include the 5G moniker. Gizmochina reports the 5G branding is exclusive to the Hong Kong market.

As per HONOR’s Hong Kong website, the HONOR 600S features a 6.87-inch TFT LCD display with a 1,592 x 720-pixel resolution and a peak brightness of 1,020 nits. The panel also supports DC and dynamic dimming, low blue light and Dark Mode.
The body measures 68.3 x 78.54 x 8.30mm and weighs 216.5 grams. The website also adds that the phone carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings and is certified to withstand a 2.5-metre drop.
For its internals, the handset is outfitted with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. The company only has one configuration for the phone, which is 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. That said, it comes with HONOR’s RAM Turbo feature, which gives the phone 16GB of virtual RAM, according to Gizmochina.
Powering the whole device is a sizable 8,100mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging. HONOR claims that the battery can retain more than 80% of its capacity after five years, but notes that this is under laboratory conditions. The device runs on the Android 16-based MagicOS 10.

In terms of imaging, the HONOR 600S has a 50MP rear camera and is accompanied by an LED flash. The front, on the other hand, has a 5MP selfie snapper housed within a punch-hole cutout.
Much like the main HONOR 600 series, the 600S also comes with an AI button. The button provides quick access to features like AI Memory, AI image removal, summarisation, and Circle to Search. Other details include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, and stereo speakers.
As mentioned earlier, the HONOR 600S is available in Hong Kong and retails for HKD1,999 (~RM1,027). It comes in Desert Gold, Misty Purple, and Velvet Black colourways.
With all that said, do keep in mind that these details are based on the Hong Kong release of the device and may be subject to change when it launches in Malaysia. It’s worth pointing out that, though the device has been listed on SIRIM for a while now, its launch in the region could be a sign that it might be making its way to other markets soon. For now, it’s probably best to wait for an official announcement from HONOR Malaysia before getting too excited.
