Google, during its Made by Google launch event tonight, has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone line-up, which includes the two models highlighted in this article: the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Both devices are powered by the new Tensor G5 chip, which is built in collaboration with DeepMind to unlock on-device generative AI experiences through Gemini Nano.

The new models refine the familiar Pixel look with a polished metal frame, silky matte glass back, and a diamond-cut camera bezel. They’re offered in Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade, with the XL variant providing a larger 6.8-inch display compared to the 6.3-inch Pro. Both feature Super Actua panels with minimal bezels, 3,300 nits peak brightness, up to 120Hz variable refresh rates, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Security is handled by an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and face unlock, while connectivity includes 5G, WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Google adds that audio on both models also gets an upgrade with improved stereo speakers tuned for fuller bass response. As for water and dust protection, the Pro duo are rated at IP68.

Under the hood of both phones is the brand’s first-party Tensor G5 processor, which is paired with 16GB of RAM and storage options starting at 128GB on the Pro, scaling up to 1TB on higher trims. Newly introduced is Zoned UFS storage on select SKUs for faster app load times.

According to Google, battery life for both phones stretches to over 30 hours on a single charge, with capacities rated at 4,870mAh for the Pixel Pro and 5,200mAh for the Pro XL. Both models support fast wired charging (30W on the former and 45W on the latter) alongside the brand’s new Pixelsnap magnetic wireless charging system, with speeds up to 25W on the XL.

On the imaging front, the Pixel Pro and Pro XL comes with a triple camera setup which comprises a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultrawide with 123-degree field of view and macro focus, as well as a 48MP telephoto lens. The front camera, meanwhile, is a 42MP shooter with autofocus and a wide 103-degree field of view. And in case you’re wondering, the temperature sensor makes a return on both models.

The highlight feature this time around is Pro Res Zoom, exclusive to the Pro series, enabling up to 100x magnification using a mix of optical hardware and a new generative AI imaging model. Google claims this is the most advanced AI model ever integrated into its camera pipeline, promising sharp detail even at extreme zoom levels. The Pixels will also be the first Android smartphones to come with C2PA Content Credentials in the native camera pp, acting as a digital watermark for all photos captured.

The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL runs on Android with Material 3 Expressive, offering smoother animations and deeper personalisation. Google is also promising seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates.

Of course, there’s also plenty of familiar Gemini AI features to be found onboard, with this year’s highlight being the new Magic Cue tool. According to Google, this feature can proactively surface relevant information across apps such as Messages and Phone. For example, when calling an airline, flight details from Gmail can be displayed in real-time during the call.

In Malaysia, the Pixel 10 Pro starts from  RM4,999, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL starts from RM5,999, with pre-orders available starting 21 August 2025 via the official Pixel online store on Shopee, CelcomDigi, Maxis, and U Mobile.
