There have been some pretty strange partnerships between companies with AI chatbots. One in recent memory is the one between Telegram and xAI’s Grok. More recently, there’s one that’s a bit closer to home, and notably a lot less generous. This is between Grab and ChatGPT.

Amanz reports that subscribers to Grab Unlimited can redeem a free month of the ChatGPT Plus subscription. This will give you faster response times as well as priority access to new features OpenAI rolls out to its chatbot. Now, that means getting access to new GPT-5 variants as well as GPT-4o and other additional modes.

This can be redeemed from the rideshare app’s Grab Rewards page, from which subscribers will get a code to be redeemed on the ChatGPT app instead. Despite the free month, the report notes that the ChatGPT app will still ask for your card info. So if you’re only here for the free month, you will have to cancel your subscription manually after redeeming the code.

The free month of ChatGPT plus is itself a limited-time promo. According to the report, Grab Unlimited subscribers have until 31 December of this year to redeem it. Those who are subscribers can already claim their code for the free month. Worth noting that this is a one-time deal, and you can’t redeem more codes after the first.
