PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) has announced that a temporary road diversion will be implemented in stages between the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza and the UPM Interchange (KM309.7) in both directions. The closure is to facilitate gantry installation works, scheduled to begin later at midnight on 19 July 2025.

In a social media update, PLUS said the works will take place from 12.01am to 5am. The affected stretch is part of the North-South Expressway and serves as a key route for traffic between Kuala Lumpur, Kajang, Bangi, and UPM. Even though the road closures are happening during off-peak hours, motorists are advised to take note regardless.

During the diversion, southbound vehicles from the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza heading towards UPM, Kajang, or Bangi will be rerouted via the BHP petrol station route immediately after the toll. Northbound traffic from Kajang or Bangi heading to Kuala Lumpur or Sungai Besi will be diverted at the UPM Toll Plaza and redirected to the Sungai Besi Expressway (BESRAYA) as an alternative route.

Motorists are urged to follow all posted traffic signs and instructions from on-site personnel. For real-time updates and route guidance, users can refer to the PLUS App, the PUTRI virtual assistant, the @plustrafik X account, selected electronic message boards (VMS), or contact the PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000.
