BYD has announced a new Level 4 autonomous parking feature for its “God’s Eye” ADAS system, with the announcement made via the company’s official Weibo platform. The company also confirmed that this new functionality will be rolled out to the B and C versions of the system through over-the-air (OTA) updates.

The upgrade will introduce three-speed functionality and enhance the system’s ability to manage complex parking scenarios, representing a significant advancement in BYD’s autonomous driving technology. According to the automaker, the L4-level parking system complies with global standards and is capable of parking the vehicle without any driver input in specific situations.

Furthermore, BYD announced that it will take full responsibility for any incidents caused by its God’s Eye-assisted driving software. The company stated that in the event of an accident, drivers can contact BYD service directly without needing to initiate an insurance claim. BYD will cover all repair costs, third-party property damage, and personal injury compensation resulting from malfunctions or algorithm errors in the parking assist system—provided the vehicle is found to be at fault in a legal proceeding.

Just to recap, BYD launched its God’s Eye ADAS in February 2025 and it is equipped with high-end intelligent driving technology. It is also available in three variants: C, B and A, with up to three LiDAR sensors. However, for the moment, this system is only available in China, and there are no updates on making it available globally.
