Special Edition Proton Saga Hot Wheels Returns For Car’s 40th Anniversary

Proton has announced the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the iconic Proton Saga with an event called Saga Weekend. As part of the festivities, the automaker has unveiled several offers, including a special edition 1:64 Hot Wheels cast of the Proton Saga, aside from the cash rebates up to RM2000.
While the Hot Wheels Proton Saga is not a new collector’s item—it was first launched in 2024—the automaker’s recent Facebook post suggests that this special edition will feature the white Proton Saga released in October last year, as part of the 2025 Hot Wheels Dash B (B Case) collection.
Furthermore, this edition will still showcase the hand-drawn artwork by Saw Jane Harn, winner of the Hot Wheels x Proton Kids Design Competition 2023. Additionally, as noted by Soya Cincau, the packaging features the Saga 40th Anniversary logo on the back.
As of now, if you wish to get your hands on the Hot Wheels, then you have to book a car from Proton. Why you ask? Well because, the Hot Wheels Proton Saga comes as a free gift upon booking a car from the automaker.

If it becomes a special edition that you can get your hands from a retailer, the it should cost you either RM10 or RM11. However, there is no confirmation yet on the special edition being available for sale.
The first round of the Saga Weekend was held on 5 to 6 July. There is another round of which is happening this weekend, 12 and 13 July. It is being held on selected Proton showrooms, so it is advisable for you to call before making a visit.
