Jabra has launched the PanaCast 40 VBS, its newest Android video bar system. A video bar is essentially an all-in-one video conferencing device that contains a camera, microphone, as well as speakers. According to the company, the PanaCast 40 VBS is specifically tailored to provide full coverage of small meeting spaces.

The PanaCast 40 VBS is packed with dual cameras to deliver a 180° field of view. Additionally, the cameras come with 4x digital zoom. Aside from that, the device features a speaker and six microphones with adaptive beamforming, which are enhanced by audio algorithms to produce clear sound.

What’s more, it is equipped with AI-powered features like Dynamic Composition, which shows close-up views of as many as four people in addition to a full room view, and Virtual Director, which offers real-time speaker tracking. Other AI tools include Intelligent Zoom for keeping all participants in frame, and Intelligent Meeting Space for setting virtual boundaries.

The video bar is built on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP), and is compatible with apps like Microsoft Teams and Zoom. For added convenience and utility, Jabra is introducing optional accessories consisting of a touch controller and a detachable faceplate. These accessories can be purchased as a bundle with the video bar.

The Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS will be available for purchase in August, although the company did not provide a specific date. The standalone video bar will retail for RM8,800, while the bundle consisting of the bar and the touch controller is priced at RM12,800.
