ASUS has released an ROG Astral Dhahab Edition of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5080. It’s officially known as the RTX 5080 Astral Dhahab Core, and like its RTX 5090 counterpart, this model will be wrapped in the same gold and emerald motif, plus the small amount of gold.

To clear the air, the RTX 5080 Dhahab Core is essentially the same as the non-Dhahab ROG Astral variant of the card. Underneath the hood, the card still runs on tweaked 2,790MHz OC Mode, plus the same 4-fan cooling system. Basically, it’s a clone of the RTX 5090. Beyond that, it’s got an all-gold design and emerald

The main difference between the Dhahab Edition and the non-Dhahab is the 6.5g of gold that’s been used in its design and construction. As we’ve reported prior, that amount of gold comes up to a little more than RM3,000, and that’s before you factor in the rest of the card’s value.

That brings us nicely to one subject of the card: pricing. At the time of writing, ASUS has not revealed the official pricing of the RTX 5080 Dhahab Core. Given the exorbitant US$7,000 (~RM30,632) price tag for the RTX 5090 version, we doubt ASUS is going to charge anything less than US$5,000 (~RM21,300) for this card.

The good news (kind of?) is that, unlike the RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition, the RTX 5080 Dhahab Core is being listed on ASUS’ US page, which could mean that the card isn’t going to be a Middle East exclusive.
