Redmagic has officially launched the 10S Pro in Malaysia, the latest flagship in its gaming smartphone lineup. The phone initially launched in China last month, along with a 10S Pro+ variant, which is absent from today’s announcement.

To recap, the Redmagic 10S Pro stands out with its flat, camera-bump-free rear design that complements a transparent metal body. It also features customisable shoulder triggers and a dedicated Magic Key that can be set for quick access to frequently used functions.

Up front, the phone boasts a 6.85-inch AMOLED display, delivering a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The panel also supports ultra-fast touch sampling rates up to 2,500Hz and is TÜV Rheinland-certified for reduced blue light, making it suitable for both high-performance gaming and all-day use.

In addition to the under-display front camera, the Redmagic 10S Pro is equipped with dual symmetrical stereo speakers certified with DTS-X for 3D surround sound. There’s also an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a high-end vibration motor for haptics, and dynamic rear RGB lighting that responds to audio cues for enhanced immersion.

Under the hood is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version chipset, clocked higher than its standard counterpart, and paired with Redmagic’s own RedCore R3 Pro gaming chip to offload specific game-related processes. Alongside it is up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage. Keeping temperatures in check, the 10S Pro uses an advanced 10-layer ICE-X cooling system with liquid metal applied directly to the CPU, a 12,000 mm² vapour chamber, and a nearly silent 23,000 RPM turbofan.

For connectivity, the phone offers dual-band 5G, dual SIM slots, NFC with Google Pay support, infrared remote control, and low-latency wireless for responsive online gaming. Powering the device is a 7,050mAh battery, backed by 80W fast charging with the charger included in the box. It also supports smart charge separation to preserve battery lifespan over time.

On the software side of things, the 10S Pro runs on Android 15-based Redmagic OS 10.5, which comes with gaming-specific features like the X-Gravity Gaming Center and support for external gaming peripherals. The OS also includes Elevator Mode and High-Speed Rail Mode to maintain connection stability in certain network environments.

Imaging-wise, on the back of the phone is a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP OIS main shooter, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with distortion correction, and a 2MP supporting sensor. The under-display selfie camera that was mentioned much earlier uses a 16MP sensor with AI enhancements.

The Redmagic 10S Pro starts at RM3,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB model, RM4,899 for 16GB + 512GB, and tops out at RM5,999 for the 24GB + 1TB variant. Pre-orders begin on 24 June 2024 via Redmagic’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and its official website.

In conjunction with the launch, Redmagic Malaysia is offering discounts of up to RM1,000 along with a free Redmagic Cooler 6 Air (worth RM199) from 24 June (8pm) to 17 July 2024, while stocks last. With the promotion applied, the phones will be available at RM3,199, RM3,999, and RM4,999 respectively.
