Suunto has officially launched its latest lightweight sports watch, the Run, for the local market today at Banglo289. As the name suggests, the Run was designed with runners in mind, with specific modes and features dedicated for running.

The Suunto Run sports a 1.32-inch 466 × 466 AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. Furthermore, it features stainless steel bezels, and a case made of glass fibre reinforced polyamide. The Run measures 11.5mm thick and weighs 36g, making it the lightest out of the company’s available smartwatches. It comes with a 22m nylon band with four colour options.

Other than that, the device has water resistance for up to 50m, built-in dual-band GPS, Bluetooth connectivity and 4GB of MP3 storage, allowing wearers to listen to audio while offline. To top it off, there are sports tools like reminders for hydration and a metronome to help users maintain their rhythm while training.

The watch is equipped with 34 sport modes including hiking, cycling, yoga, tennis, and boxing. Naturally, it also comes with running-specific training features such as Ghost Runner, Challenge Mate, Race Predictor, as well as insights for activities like track, treadmill, and trail running. The watch can also be synced to running apps like Strava, Runkeeper, Adidas Running, and more.

In terms of health features, it gets sensors for tracking sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and daily activity like steps and calories. The company has also introduced a new breathing widget to help the wearer relieve stress. As for battery life, the Suunto Run offers 20 hours’ of use with performance mode and GPS enabled. As a regular smartwatch used for tracking daily activity and sleep, the battery will last for up to 12 days.

The Suunto Run is available in Lime, All Black, Frost Gray, and Coral Orange, and is priced at RM1,199. As part of the official launch, the company is offering free gifts of a Suunto X Voltra jersey t-shirt and a pair of Suunto yellow socks for those purchasing the Run from the Suunto pop-up store at Banglo289.
