Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour 100% Completion Impossible With Just The Handheld

The Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is already controversial on its own, owing to it being a tech demo that you have to buy. But as it turns out, even if you buy it, you may not be able to complete it. As IGN reports, doing so needs some pretty specific add-ons.
According to the report, there are three specific mini-games that needs specialised hardware to some extent. Probably the one that’s most easily achieved, passively even, is the one that requires a 4K-capable display. If you happen to own a 4K TV or monitor, then you’re in luck. Otherwise, that’s a pretty hefty cost if you weren’t already planning on getting one.
Then there’s one which requires a camera. The only route that guarantees that you complete this challenge is the official one – getting the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera. You could jury-rig an iPhone to do this, but the games maker has said that while third-party USB-C cameras can work, not all of them may work as intended.

Finally, the third mini-game requires GL/GR buttons, which are only found on the Charging Grip or Pro Controller for the Nintendo Switch 2. Once again, no issues if you already planned to get them, but an unnecessary expense if not.
The report also mentions another challenge that requires HDR, though this can probably be solved with just about any 4K display these days. Of course, you could choose to simply skip such challenges instead, or use a cheat code to progress pass them. but if you’re a completionist, none of this will result in the Gold medal.
