Borderlands 4 is getting released later this year, and coinciding with a franchise sale that’s currently ongoing on Steam, the second game is free to keep, while the third has a 95% discount going on. So you could use that as a warm up to the latest entry if you haven’t already played those entries.

Of course, these don’t last very long. Borderlands 2 is only being free on Steam until 9 June, and if you do claim it while it is free, it will be yours forever. Miss the window, and it will be available at a 75% discount until 20 June. All this only applies to the the base game – if you want the Game of the Year edition, which has all of its DLCs, this one is simply on a 78% discount until 20 June.

Moving on to Borderlands 3, the base game currently has a discount of 95%, letting you essentially buy it for under RM10. The Super Deluxe Edition is not bad either, as while it is not free, it is 80% off until 20 June, letting you net it for under RM50. Unfortunately, this doesn’t apply to the Ultimate Edition, which only has a 35% discount compared to the norm. Probably worth mentioning that the Pre-Sequel is also on a 90% discount.

If you’re someone who’s looking forward to playing Borderlands 4, chances are you already have all of these games in your Steam library. If not, now’s as good a time as any to tick them off your checklist as we get closer to the new entry’s release. Or if you’re not a fan of the series, it’s an opportunity to give it a try, or simply grow your pile of shame and work on them at your own pace.
