MSI Unveils New Claw A8 BZ2EM With AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme At Computex 2025

MSI has introduced a new entry to its handheld gaming PC lineup with the Claw A8 BZ2EM at Computex 2025. Marking a notable departure from its previous Intel-powered models, this latest version is equipped with AMD’s Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor – confirming earlier rumours ahead of the reveal.
The MSI Claw A8 BZ2EM retains the same 8-inch IPS touchscreen, but now enhances the experience with support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) of up to 120Hz, and up to 500 nits of brightness. Included together with the Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip is AMD’s Radeon 890M GPU, along with up to 24GB of DDR5 RAM.
The handheld also maintains its internal layout with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 SSD, while a microSD card slot is included for additional expandable storage. Connectivity features include two USB4 Type-C ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, a fingerprint reader, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support. Meanwhile, its battery is rated at 80Wh.
The MSI Claw runs Windows 11 Home out of the box and includes the brand’s new MSI Center M launcher, which offers an improved interface and customisable Quick Settings and advanced Macros. Other notable features include hall effect joysticks and triggers, as well as front-facing stereo speakers.
The new Claw model is available in White, along with a very striking Lime Green colourway. Unfortunately, MSI has yet to reveal the pricing and availability for its Ryzen Z2 Extreme powered handheld, and it is unclear whether it will see a release in Malaysia at this time.
