Alcatel Teases Smartphone Featuring A Stylus; Called V3 Ultra

Alcatel V3 Ultra teaser

We haven’t heard the name Alcatel in awhile, especially in the context of smartphones. But it looks like the brand may be making a comeback in said market, what with an executive showing off the retail box of what looks to be an upcoming phone under the brand. The name of the device, as written on the box, is one Alcatel V3 Ultra.

The image was shared on X, previously Twitter, by one Madhav Sheth, a name you may remember as the former CEO of realme India. His LinkedIn profile currently lists him as the Founder of HONOR Tech as well as founder and tech advisor of Alcatel India. But going back to the box itself, the Alcatel V3 Ultra is shown to have a stylus as part of the package, as well as a triple-camera setup at the back.

For the front of the phone, we turn to a post by the Alcatel India Official account, which hints at a punch hole cutout in the middle near the top edge. But more importantly, the post mentions multiple display modes for the device. This is reminiscent of the TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER, which has at least three display modes that you can switch between.

On that note, another post my Madhav indicates that the Alcatel V3 Ultra specifically will have four display modes, though there looks to be some overlap. Then there’s the Flipkart page for the device that hints at it using the same display as the aforementioned TCL phone.

Despite the multitude of teasers though, there was no hint of when the Alcatel V3 Ultra will be launched, or indeed if there’s a V2 or a V1, as well as a base model to go with the Ultra. There’s also the matter of if this will be an India-exclusive flash in the pan, or if it will lead to a proper return of the brand.
